CONTRIBUTIONS FOR DIRECTORS’ AND PRESIDENT’S GIFTS
Every year, we like to thank our band directors and band booster president for the vast amount of work and hours they put into make our board fantastic. At the final concert on May 15th, we would like to take a few moments to say “thank you” to these vital members of the band program and give them a small token of our appreciation. To be able to that, we ask for voluntary donations from our band families to cover the costs of these gifts.
If you are interested in making donations, you may:
*Hand-deliver your donation to our Treasurer or Vice President at the or May 1st meeting;
*Mail your donation to the school: Attention: Band Boosters, 1000 South 70th Street, Lincoln, NE 68510; or
*Drop off your donation in the main office and note Attention: Band Boosters on the memo line.
Donations are strictly voluntary and we are happy to accept any amount. We would like all donations in hand by Friday, May 11th so that we can present these gifts during the last concert.
Thank you in advance for your support!!

UPDATE ON CONTRIBUTION TO LINCOLN NORTHEAST BAND
You may have heard last week that members of the Lincoln Northeast Band were on their way to a jazz festival in Kansas City when they were involved in an car accident just outside of Lincoln. Many instruments were damaged and/or destroyed in the accident. Several parents have asked what we can do to help. The Band Boosters have reached out to the Northeast band director, Brian Vuu, and we have consulted with Mr. Thorpe as well. Mr. Vuu is waiting to hear about insurance for the instruments. Those Instruments owned by LPS will be taken care of by insurance; instruments owned by students may be a different story. Mr. Vuu will reach out to us once he knows about the insurance situation. He appreciates the outreach and our willingness to help.
BOARD POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR 2018-2019
Our Vice President and Secretary board positions will be open next year. We currently have candidates for these positions. If you would also like to be considered for one of these positions, please contact the Band Boosters at firstname.lastname@example.org. Voting will take place at our May 1st Booster meeting.
