*NEW on this week’s announcements:
(Full Band) Locker clean out will be all day Monday. We will also be sifting through the lost and found bins. These are first come, first serve and anything left will be donated to Goodwill. Seniors will check in lockers and locks. Fr/ Soph/Jr will keep same lockers and locks unless requesting a change.
(Percussion) There will a Yamaha Sounds of Summer camp held at Bellevue East High School on June 4th and 5th. See the poster for details. The featured instructor will be Jon Weber from Michigan State University and the Santa Clara Vanguard. BAND FORMS DUE JUNE 14TH
Just a reminder that band forms are required to be completed for all band students for the upcoming year. Band forms may be accessed here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1b_WhCMvyhPpnVlMYU8q_plPp5i3GNMf7x5yPcLcakLs/viewform?edit_requested=true
The information the band needs to collect is contact information, media authorization, decal order, and required apparel.
There will be two ways to pay for the contribution to the band, decals and stick fee for percussionists: 1) PayPal or 2) check payable to Lincoln East Band Boosters and mailed to 1000 S 70 St., Lincoln, NE 68510. Payments made through Paypal will be assesed a 2.9% + $.30 fee.
Apparel orders will be paid through LPS Synergy at a later time. Photo orders will be available sometime during band camp.
*****As an incentive this year, any contributions above the $125 level will be guaranteed reserved seats in the Auditorium for regular band concerts. Your name will be entered into a lottery for assignment of seats. The earlier you get your band forms completed and your contribution completed, the better seats you will be assigned.******

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH COOKBOOK FUNDRAISER
Even though the year is almost over, we are already looking ahead to next year with a really fun and exciting fundraiser. We are putting together a cookbook!! We will be collecting recipes from our band families this summer and assembling them into a cookbook for purchase this fall. Proceeds will be used to support the band. We are looking for 5-6 volunteers to help with this project. If you are interested in helping out, please email the Cookbook Chair, Heather Johnson, at firstname.lastname@example.org
HOW CAN YOU HELP THE LINCOLN EAST BAND?
You’ve heard us say again and again that band is family. That’s because our students and their parents lean on one another, support each other, step up to help when help is needed and are there for each other. The Band needs your help, and we hope you will be there for us! We need your support more than ever. HOW CAN YOU HELP? There are several options for you to help the band:
Volunteer–We are looking for several Committee Chairs (August Tailgate Party, Booster Blitz, Water Coordinator, Scholarship Committee, Gift Wrapping, Amazon Wish List Coordinator, etc.). We also need volunteers to help out during our upcoming fundraisers, special events and football games.
Monetarily–Without financial support from our band families, we don’t have a band program. We need your support now more than ever!
- We NEED parents to pay their annual parent contribution of $100 or more (this is the money we use to support the band’s operations)–if you haven’t paid your family contribution yet, please do so now!!! We will set up a payment plan for you if necessary.
- Attend/Participate in fundraisers and special events–Tailgate Party, Booster Blitz, Craft Fair, Gift Wrapping, Baker ‘s Chocolate, Marcus Theater Tickets, The Mill Coffee, Tea, Cocoa and Cider, etc.
- Write a check–we will always and gladly accept donations
- Support the Lincoln East Band Amazon Wish List
What is an Amazon Wish List? It is a registry service on Amazon.com that allows people and groups to create a wish list and share it online so others may select gifts on that list. The East band directors have put together a list of the instruments and equipment they need the most. The list will be updated periodically as items are purchased and new items are added to the wish list.
HOW CAN YOU HELP? Please visit our wish list at https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/27JFB19Y1WUC1. We have items ranging in price from $9.00 to $1,100, and everything in between. We have something for every budget!! If you are interested in purchasing any items on the list, just select it and complete your purchase. It’s just that easy! Questions? SIGN UP TO BE A MEMBER OF THE EAST BAND SHUTTERFLY SHARED SITE
The Band Boosters have set up a shared Shutterfly account for band parents to post and share band pictures. If you have any band pictures that you would like to share with other band parents, or if you would like to access band pictures taken by other parents, please email the Executive Board at firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to be added as a member. We will then add your email address to the membership list. You will receive an invitation from Shutterfly to join the site.
